Cameron Independent School District offers an extended school day tutorial program to its students in grades 3 through 12. With great demand for accountability being placed on school districts from community, state, and federal levels, schools are searching for educational opportunities for their children outside the traditional school day to assist in students in learning. In the current economic crisis, the search continues for affordable after-school academic programs. Cameron ISD faces the same challenges as many districts across the state with providing academic programs and finding resources to accommodate students. CISD has moved forward in implementing the Cameron Prep School.
