My name is Mandi Walzel and this will be my first year as counselor at CES.  I was born and raised in Cameron and graduated from Yoe High.  After graduating from UMHB, I began teaching at CES.  That was 15 years ago.  In those years I’ve taught 5th & 3rd grades and for the last few years I was the Dyslexia Interventionist.

In my spare time I enjoy team roping with my husband Joel and spending time on our ranch.  We have two adult sons, Jale and Jistol.  Jale is beginning a career in construction.  Jistol works with Joel in our custom ag business. 

I enjoy building relationships with the students and I am looking forward to being the counselor this year!
